ACTION FOR DISADVANTAGED PEOPLE (ACDIPE) is an association of economically disadvantaged women operating in Wakiso District
Wakiso district is situated in the Northern part of Uganda.
The growth is due to the organisation’s Vision which is geared towards promoting the quality of life of women.
We endeavor to initiate projects for our members in our meetings. Our projects are participatory and are through a bottom up process whereby it is members who bring ideas on what to do.
We mobilize women to start income generating activities for self-sustainability and through training of members to acquire practical skills that are relevant for the kind of activities they undertake in their daily lives.
Hence we mainly promote;
•    Sustainable organic agriculture and food security.
This is the most important activity of our members and is evidenced by the many gardens of a variety of crops grown.
•   We also promote rearing of animals and indegenous hens.
•   We promote handcraft making and our main products are mats, baskets and table mats/cloths.
•   Primary health care
